Hey, I don't think those ultrasounds are very accurate. My friend scheduled a C-section after she was told her baby was over 11 lbs., and her baby ended up being 9lb. 6oz. Your body can do this! No one knew that my son was 9lbs. 14 oz., and had they known, I most certainly would have been encouraged to induce or schedule a C-section, but my body did just fine, even though I was on my back, which is not ideal for giving birth! Anyway, I know all this is hard to sift through when you want to do what is best for you & the baby. Hopefully these contractions you are experiencing today will get stronger & you'll be in active labor! You can do this! I'll be thinking of you...Karli

Hello! I honestly wouldn't worry about gestational diabetes. Your doctor would have caught it
by now. In my 6th or 7th month of pregnancy, I had just a little bit of a spike in my urine that I left at
the doctor's office and he ordered a full workup, which meant sitting at the lab
all morning and drinking bottles of sweet, sweet liquid.

If your doctor is not concerned, I wouldn't be worried. I would wait and let Julianne come when
she and the doctor decide for her to be born. Yeah - easy for me to say huh - I'm
not 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant!

She is going to be a big baby isn't she! I bet you can't wait. Stay calm, cool and collected and
happy and good thougts to you all.

Yay for contractions! I am pulling for you - hoping they turn into the real thing. I think the late term ultrasounds can range from 1-2 lbs off either way. I just had one today and my little one is measuring at 8lbs 14 oz. Also fairly big! But my doula said, "don't let them estimate her size!" so?

I'm totally in the same boat as you are, lady. I am 41 weeks 2 days and just (gasp) scheduled my induction for Thursday (41 weeks 4 days - like you're thinking) I'm giving her 2 more days to come out on her own, and then she's gettin' the boot.

It's such a hard decision to have to make - I have been agonizing over it for days.

I wish you the best of luck and I'll send you labor vibes.
