Next stop: the nursery

Now that I’m safely into my 2nd trimester, I’ve decided to get started on the nursery. Right now I’m looking at a nursery set from Wal-Mart (!), which is actually not bad. The style is called “Roxanne” from their Modern Nursery Collection. I’m really not sure how I want to decorate the room yet, so I’ve just started fooling around with Google Sketchup to come up with some ideas. Here’s my first stab at it:

I love this!!! Is that the walmart furniture? I love mod baby furniture. I like the crib in the middle of the room also. The fruit paintings on the wall are cool. Is that the theme you are doing? Or is there no theme? I will try to give you ideas,..since interior design for kids’ rooms is what I do. :)

Hi Jessie! The dresser is Walmart – I worked on it in Sketchup last night. The crib is similiar to Walmart’s – I need to put some work into it. The fruit prints are by Enzo Mari … I don’t actually own these, but I’ve always loved their simplicity. The chair is, of course, IKEA. I’d love any ideas you have … I really like your work! Nursery stuff is all new to me.
